Theme: Manchester
A bold remix of cinema, music, and Mancunian culture, this design drops Steve McQueen—the King of Cool—straight into the heart of Madchester. Reimagined from his iconic escape scene in The Great Escape, McQueen is caught mid-ride, glancing back with a pair of maracas in hand—one red, one blue—a cheeky nod to Manchester’s football divide. Above him, the phrase “You’re twisting my melon, Manc” reworks Shaun Ryder’s iconic line with a local twist, mashing up Hollywood rebellion with Northern surrealism. Beneath the image, the words “Not Cool.” and then “Cooler.” bring the punchline home—referencing the solitary confinement cell from the film while winking at the idea of cool itself being constantly redefined. It’s a cultural collision: a great escape from the expected, where film legend, football rivalry, and musical mischief all meet on two wheels and a rhythm.
