Theme: Punky Women
This design hijacks a punk classic and gives it a twist of truth. NEVER MIND THE BLOKES, Here’s the PATTIARCHY takes its cue from the iconic Sex Pistols cover — loud colours, louder message — and redirects that raw energy into a tribute to Patti Smith. Patti never claimed the feminist banner outright; she saw herself as someone fighting for justice in the broadest sense — for women, yes, but also for anyone left unheard. That’s what makes her punk in a way few ever were. The lyric from “Gloria” — “She told me her name / and her name is / and her name is…” — echoes through the design, but this time her name is Justice. Justice for all. Justice that’s messy, poetic, and loud. In a world still struggling with patriarchy, Patti offers another possibility — not about dominance, but expression. Not hierarchy, but humanity. This is a celebration of rebellion with heart — and whether you wear it, drink from it, hang it or carry it, you’re carrying a bit of that spirit with you. Vive La Pattiarchy!
